PPC Marketing strategies for food and beverage companies





You would agree that when it comes to marketing and promotion online, every single industry needs a different approach. It applies more specifically in the case of pay per click advertising on major search engines like Google and Bing.

To be more precise, I am going to talk about Google AdWords and Bing Ads strategies for food and beverage companies.

Let’s talk in the context of Google AdWords. If you are able to make profitable campaigns on AdWords, you can have similar campaign of Bing Ads and it would work. Yes, there’s not much difference in the way Bing Ads work. AdWords is more comprehensive when you compare it Bing Ads and but they are similar as platforms.

The first thing for a food branding strategy with AdWords will be to have a separate campaign for Display Network. Yes, do not combine both search and display network campaigns. It will limit the level of you controls. Hence, it’s always great to have separate campaigns for these networks.

Next, have separate adgroups within the campaign to target by context and placements. Contexts can be built with a combination of keywords and topics. Have keywords like food beverage package designing, food packaging design ukfood companies, beverage companies etc. and combine with the relevant topics.

In the second adgroup, target to industry leading news websites and video placements. You can have managed placements for this purpose. Your third campaign in the GDN mix can be video ads. Yes, have video ads targeted to YouTube. It will help drive more engagement. Further, based on your budget, you can have expandable or pop up ads. They help in branding a lot.

Next, have a separate display network campaign targeted to Gmail. Yes, you will need to create gmail ads through ad gallery and placements will be required to be set to gmail.com only. This campaign again is known to do the branding effectively at comparatively lower costs.

Finally, if your website is structured well, you can use Dyanamic Search Ads campaign on search network. Most importantly, do not forget to have a dedicated search network campaign to address brand related queries.
